A Tech Talent Development Drive by the Anambra State ICT Agency:
This program is designed to give students and young professionals a chance to gain practical experience in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field, develop their skills, and broaden their understanding. It also aims to foster partnerships between the Agency and corporate organizations as well as educational institutions. These will be achieved by pairing interns with seasoned professionals and allowing them to participate in meaningful, real-world projects.
Core Objectives: The objectives of the formal internship program are as follows:
To provide students and young professionals with hands-on experience in the ICT industry,
To enhance their skills and knowledge,
To make the ICT Agency a rallying point for Tech Developers across Anambra State,
To build collaborative relationships between the agency, corporate entities, and educational
institutions and
To engender the establishment and growth of the Anambra Tech Ecosystem thereby
facilitating Mr. Governor’s aspiration of making Anambra the Tech Hub of Africa.
Target Beneficiaries: Undergraduates, graduates and young professionals who are in need of industry experience in the area of ICT.
Eligibility: To be eligible for the internship program, the following criteria need to be met:
Must be a student or recent graduate of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any other field related to ICT.
Must have a strong interest in ICT and a passion for developing digital applications and other ICT projects.
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
Must have a good academic record and show potential for further development.
Selection Process: Upon review of applications, applicants that satisfy all the stated criteria will be shortlisted for an interview and contacted accordingly. The best and most promising candidates will be selected after which a formal announcement on the outcome of the selection will be made public on this portal and the State website. Further directives will then be communicated alongside the list of successful applicants.
Duration: This program is intended to run in different batches of One Month, Three Months and Six Months.
