Dr. Idigo-Ibenta Among 18 New Permanent Secretaries, Sworn into Anambra State Civil Service by Governor Soludo

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, on Monday, swore in 18 new Permanent Secretaries into the State Civil Service, amongst who included Dr. Florence Idigo-Ibenta of the Anambra State ICT Agency.
Performing the function at the Government House, Awka, the Governor emphasized the importance of their roles, congratulating them on their merit-based appointment.

“This is a unique appointment process,” stated Governor Soludo. “For the first time in the state, Permanent Secretaries were chosen through rigorous examinations and interviews, ensuring the most qualified candidates were selected.”

Acknowledging the challenging economic times, Governor Soludo highlighted his decision to forego his salary, emphasizing the need for the team to commit to serving the people.

“There may be limitations,” the Governor said, “but we must persevere to deliver excellent service to the citizens of Anambra.”

The Governor charged the new appointees to uphold integrity, combat corruption, take ownership of their roles and work collaboratively with their respective Commissioners and other levels of government to propel Anambra State forward.

In an exclusive interview with the ICT Agency’s media Team, Dr. Idigo Ibenta expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to Governor Soludo’s transformative and disruptive development plan for Anambra State.

She said; “It is exciting to be recognized and elevated to this great role to work towards Mr. Governor’s ongoing transformative and regenerative development plan for Anambra State. I will do my best.”

Present at the ceremony were several high-ranking state government officials, including the Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu, among others.
