The Computer Empowerment Scheme for Africa (CESA) is a non-profit organization and initiative that seeks to promote the growth of the ICT industry in Nigeria (and Africa) by providing computing devices to young, eager Tech individuals, who possess the promise and drive to become tech leaders, but lack the resources (i.e. laptops/computers).
The founder and sole funder, Ifeanyi Onyejekwe, in partnership with the Anambra State ICT Agency seeks to identify eligible individuals through the development of a clear selection guideline for applicants(beneficiaries).
Target Beneficiaries:
Tech Enthusiasts with verifiable proof of enrollment in any of the IT Skill via a Training Hub domiciled within Onitsha in Anambra State.
Eligibility Criteria:
1.The individual must be currently enrolled in a digital skills training program in one of the selected training hubs in Anambra State around Onitsha axis.
2.The individual must have demonstrated a strong commitment to learning and developing their digital skills.
3.The individual must be in good standing with the training hub and have no history of disciplinary issues.
4.The individual must be able to demonstrate a genuine need for a laptop device, and the device must be essential for their continued learning and development.
5.The individual must be able to demonstrate ability to complete the digital training.
6.The individual must have a social media presence and acknowledge receipt, by way of a post acknowledgement.
Selection Process:
To ensure a fair and transparent process, the selection of candidates for the laptop device donations will be based on the following criteria:
Eligibility: All candidates will be screened to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria outlined by the Computer Empowerment Scheme
Performance: Candidates will be evaluated based on their performance in the digital skills training program, including a review of their assignments, projects, and overall program.
Need: Candidates will be required to provide a statement outlining their need for a laptop device and how it will support their learning and development.
Potential: Candidates will be assessed on their potential to make a significant contribution to the digital economy in Nigeria.
