Anambra State Government Partners Tony Blair Institute To Integrate Technology In Project Management

Anambra State Government has taken yet another giant stride towards creating a digitally transformed state by partnering with the Tony Blair Institute (TBI) for Global Change to provide technical assistance to its Department of Strategy, Execution, and Evaluation (SEE)

To ensure a seamless collaboration, a meeting was convened at the Anambra State ICT Agency, under the chairmanship of MD/CEO, Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata (CFA). The meeting which featured the Director of the Department of Strategy, Execution, and Evaluation (SEE), Mr. Emma Onyilofor, and representatives from the Tony Blair Institute was focused on unveiling a software tool, Digital Delivery Dashboard designed to help Anambra State monitor and evaluate projects digitally.

This came as a follow-up to a recent courtesy visit by SEE to the ICT Agency seeking solutions to better service delivery through technology integration in project management.

Mr. David Syengo who lead the presentation on behalf of TBI, exposed the Dashboard as a tool that will allow for several users, promote team work, track budgets, financing and quantitative targets, and allow for updating of already existing data among other functions.

The Dashboard provides for visualization of project progression with color coded status, as well as the opportunity to see what projects are coming up next. Other features of the Dashboard include Mobile Desktop Calendar and file export.

According to Mr. Syengo, the Dashboard already has over 700 users in more than 40 government Ministries and offices in over 20 countries, with a steadily increasing number of users.

Reacting to the presentation, Mr. Onyiliofor expressed his satisfaction with the software, saying that the Dashboard is indeed what is needed to efficiently and effectively carry out the SEE mandate. He further added that once the Dashboard is fully set up, it will provide a means through which Governor Soludo would also be able to monitor state projects in real-time.

Another representative from TBI, Mrs. Uju, assured that once the Dashboard is adopted by the State Government as a working tool, the TBI will always be available to provide maximum expert support.

While thanking Governor Soludo for putting action to his promises for a digitally transformed State, the ICT Agency Boss, Mr. Agbata described the Dashboard as a game-changer for project management in the State.

He further congratulated the SEE Boss saying that the tool is a timely response to their desire for enhanced project management in the State.

CFA also thanked the TBI team for developing a digital tool that aligns with the State Government’s Transformation Agenda.

“No doubt the partnership between Anambra State Government and the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change is testament of Governor Soludo’s commitment to utilizing technology to improve service delivery and the efficient management of projects in the State”. CFA concluded. (MOI)
